Coverage Review

When should you review your insurance?

Insurance should change as your life and business change. A regular review can help uncover outdated limits, missing coverage and policies that no longer match your needs.

Personal & Family Changes

  • Buying, selling or significantly remodeling a home
  • Getting married, divorced or combining households
  • Adding a new driver or vehicle
  • Welcoming a child or becoming an empty nester
  • Purchasing jewelry, collectibles or other valuable property
  • Changing jobs, income or retirement plans
  • Taking on significant new debt
  • Starting a home-based business

Business Changes

  • Moving to a new location or adding a location
  • Buying vehicles, equipment or significant property
  • Hiring employees or changing payroll
  • Adding products, services or new types of work
  • Signing major contracts or leases
  • Changing ownership or legal structure
  • Growing revenue or inventory substantially
  • Increasing your reliance on technology or customer data

A Good Habit

Review your insurance at least once a year.

Even when nothing dramatic has changed, an annual conversation is a good opportunity to confirm that your limits, deductibles, property values and liability protection still make sense.
